Cathy Harris, Co-Pastor

Cathy is a recorded Friends minister, and she thoroughly enjoys pastoring at Spiceland Friends. She enjoys visiting with people and hearing their life stories. Music is a big part of Cathy's life and her ministry; she enjoys playing the piano to accompany various vocalists at the church as well as singing with others to provide special music for worship. Cathy values the team ministry approach that Spiceland utilizes. She oversees the Jr. Church program, works with various committees within the church, as well as a number of church events throughout the year such as Vacation Bible School, adult Bible studies, and the Christmas choir (director).

Cathy holds a Master of Ministry Degree from Earlham School of Religion and is also a graduate of Anderson University with an Associate of Arts Degree in Secretarial Science. She has been an active member within Friends since 1968 and began serving at Spiceland Friends Meeting in 2007 as Associate Pastor.

Cathy and her husband, Tom, have three children — Megan, Chris, and Meredith. Tom works as a civil engineer for the Indiana Dept. of Transportation. Their family enjoys reading and swimming. Cathy also likes to spend time playing the autoharp and mountain dulcimer musical instruments and enjoys quilting, hiking, gardening, and taking her granddog, Jack, for walks.
